In the book of Malachi, the word specifically speaks of bringing the first fruits to the storehouse. The first fruits speaks of the increase in your home. Because it was in the Old Testament the first fruits could have been crops, animals or whatever the offering and yes even money which is to be ten percent. Many people both believers and non-believers are of the thought today that tithing was for the Old Testament believers and doesn’t really apply to today’s standards.
