Margaret Nunn (pictured), a patient registration representative at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Florida, was arrested for allegedly stealing and using a dead patient’s credit card, ABC News reports.

Local police cuffed Nunn, 53, on Wednesday on one count of identity theft and seven counts of credit card fraud.
Police said that Nunn has admitted to robbing the unidentified 63-year-old victim, who died in the emergency room on June 10. Within three hours after his death, the victim’s credit card was used to purchase “airline tickets, bridal shoes, pay phone bills and other assorted items totaling over $1186.00,” according to Sarasota police.

Police worked with Sarasota Memorial Hospital officials to identify Nunn as the suspect. She was suspended and later terminated from her job on June 29. Kim Savage, a spokeswoman for the hospital, says the incident is not a widespread issue.
“It was an isolated individual,” Savage said. “In this case she just wrote down the information while she was registering the patient.”
Nunn is being held at theSarasota County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
