ANC Candidate Arrested for Assault Outside Polling Place

A candidate for the District’s Advisory Neighborhood Commissions was arrested Tuesday after she allegedly assaulted a man she thought was tampering with her signs. Grace Daughtridge allegedly tackled a man in his 40s outside the King Greenleaf Recreation Center in Southwest, which is serving as a polling place Tuesday. Daughtridge is a candidate for ANC 6D05 Commissioner, which serves part of Ward 6. She was handcuffed by police and charged with simple assault, She’ll be released on a citation.
