According to AlwaysAList. com It appears as though Tyler Perry has completely ending his relationship with TBS, the network that helped him launch his sitcoms “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne” and “Meet The Browns.”

In a surprising move, the Hollywood mogul is uprooting his series “For Better or Worse” from TBS and taking it to Oprah Winfrey’s OWN channel. Despite the first 45 episodes of the drama-laced comedy airing on TBS, OWN will produce the third season of the show.

All of the original cast – Tasha Smith, Michael Jai White, Crystle Stewart, Kent Faulcon, Kiki Haynes and Jason Olive – have signed on to return for the third season on OWN. No word on whether recurring cast members Cocoa Brown and the late Whitney Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, are returning as well.

“For Better or Worse” was ranked as basic cable’s top show among African-Americans. Production on the junior season will begin in Atlanta in April.“For Better or Worse is a great addition to our growing lineup of scripted programming from Tyler,” OWN president Erik Logan said. “We’re excited to build out OWN’s slate of original shows.”

As previously reported by AlwaysAList.com, OWN struck a multi-year deal with the former playwright Perry to develop a comedy and drama for the network’s expansion into scripted programming.

Those shows, “The Haves and the Have Nots” (the drama) and “Love’s Diner” (the comedy) are already in production.
