One of the standouts from the “X Factor” Season 3 premiere was Lillie McCloud, a 54-year-old woman (54?! She looks 34), who came out strutting her stuff in leather with her giant hair, and then sang the most lovely “Alabaster Box” by CeCe Winans.
The judges were in love. Simon called her “incredible.” Kelly says, “Where you been? Where you been hidin’?” and Paulina adds, “That was unbelievable, lady. … Si. Para me, es un si rotundo.”
Demi really nailed it by saying, “I feel like I’m listening to Whitney. Maybe your time wasn’t supposed to happen until now.”
