A District of Columbia police officer charged with prostituting teenage girls is due in court.

Linwood Barnhill Jr. faces a preliminary hearing in D.C. Superior Court on Wednesday morning. A hearing that had been scheduled for last week was postponed.

Barnhill was arrested last week and is being held without bond on charges of enlisting two teenage girls to work for him as prostitutes. Police say they found a missing 16-year-old girl inside his apartment who alleged that Barnhill offered to arrange paid sex acts for her with other men.

Barnhill joined the D.C. police department in 1989. He is currently on leave.
