As reported by JerichoCOP.org:

(March 23, 2014 – Landover, Maryland)  Dr. Jasmin Sculark, better known in the Christian community as “Dr. Jazz, The Daughter of Thunder,” has been named Pastor-Select at Jericho City of Praise in Landover, Maryland. The announcement was made to the church congregation during Sunday morning service, March 23, 2014.

Dr. Jazz will be departing Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in York, PA after 11 years of ministry. She is slated to preach a life-changing message on Easter Sunday at 9:30 a.m. entitled, “Tell the devil … I’m back!”

This will be Dr. Jazz’s first sermon from the Jericho City of Praise pulpit behind the awesome legacy of Apostle Betty Peebles. She is slated to transition into the role of Senior Pastor of the Jericho City of Praise church family, which will lead into her installation as Pastor in the fall of 2014.

“God miraculously dropped me into the heart of Jericho and I am grateful. I am going to build on the legacy of Apostle Betty Peebles. I am not coming to lay a foundation, I am coming to build upon a foundation that has already been laid. I am excited about what God wants to do with Jericho City of Praise and the people in the DMV area,” says Dr. Jazz.

Being a native of Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. Jazz has a story to tell! She is no stranger to the D.C. metropolitan area. She received her license to preach the Gospel on Feb. 4, 1992 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Washington, D.C. Dr. Jazz has a worldwide ministry and is no stranger to large crowds. Not only has she preached at the historic Hampton Minister’s conference, she recently graced the platform of the world renowned MegaFest: Woman Thou Art Loosed hosted by Bishop T.D. Jakes.

“My job is to lift up the name of Jesus, and God’s job is to draw all men unto Him,” says Dr. Jazz.

“And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me,” John 12:32.
