(Undated) – President Obama is set to address the nation tonight. The President’s speech comes on the same day that the American combat role in Iraq formally comes to an end. He is expected to address the drawdown and reassert his administration’s long-term partnership with the people and government of Iraq. At his daily briefing at the White Houseyesterday, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs called the withdrawal of U.S. combat troops a milestone and said it marks a change in the American mission there. About 50-thousand U.S. forces are remaining in Iraq to advise on counterterrorism operations and to help in the ongoing training of Iraqi security forces.
