6a00d8341c697453ef0134868abb3c970c-320wi(Washington, DC)  –  Thousands of people gathered for two events in Washington, D.C. Saturday.  The Reverend Al Sharpton led a five-mile march that ended at the Washington Mall to commemorate the anniversary of the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.‘s March on Washington in 1963.  At the same time, conservative talk show host Glenn Beck was hosting his so-called “Restoring Honor” rally at the Lincoln Memorial, where King made his famous “I have a dream” speech 47 years ago.  Police kept a watchful eye on both events, worried that problems could develop between the two camps but there were no serious issues.
