(Washington, DC) — An 80-year-old foster care program run by the Archdiocese of Washington, DC has come to an end. This is the first action taken by the church, which has been embroiled in a dispute with the city over the wording of a law legalizing same-sex marriage. The “Washington Post” says Catholic Charities’ foster-care program has been turned over to the National Center for Children and Families. The church says the city’s same-sex marriage law is written to allow for fewer exemptions for religious organizations than laws in other states. It warned city leaders months ago that it would end social service programs if it was forced to recognize and provide benefits to same-sex partners, something the church is explicitly against.

I strongly believe only God should be the judge but of course some of us think different…I dont agree with the same sex marriage nor do I agree with the foster care decision to punish the kids..all I can say is that all the signs of his coming are here.my prayer each day is Lord please help me to stay focus on you and not the worldly things help me to bring others to Christ..my prayer goes out to the foster children all over
