A former Fairfax County pastor is hoping to stay out of jail after pleading guilty to child sex abuse charges. Tommy Shelton, Junior, was pastor of the Community Church of God in Dunn Loring in the mid-1990s, when prosecutors say the now 65-year-old molested two boys who were members of the congregation. Under a plea deal, Shelton would stay out of jail, but would register as a sex offender. While prosecutors have signed on to the agreement, a judge could still reject the deal at a sentencing hearing, set for September 24th.
