(Washington, DC)   —  President Obama is acknowledging his first few years in office have not been easy.  At a campaign fundraiser in Washington Monday night, he said coming through on his campaign promises in 2008 has been hard.

The President also said the Republican Party, including the GOP presidential candidates, plan to reduce the deficit by gutting our investments in research, education and technology.   He also said the GOP believes the best way for Americans to compete for new jobs and businesses is to follow countries, such as China, in a race to the bottom by reducing the minimum wage.
