The 27th Annual Stellar Awards was taped Saturday night at the Grand Ole Opry House and will air on television in syndication January 21st through Feb. 26 on the GMC (formerly Gospel Music Channel) cable network. Marvin Sapp and Dorinda Clark Cole hosted the show, which was described as a one of the best tapings to date. Performances included Kirk Franklin, Earnest Pugh, Fred Hammond, Ricky Dillard & New G, Richard Smallwood & Vision Canton Jones, Da Truth and Lecrae The Ambassador Bobby Jones Legend Award was awarded to the Dorothy Norwood, James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award was awarded to John P. Kee and the Thomas A. Dorsey Notable Achievement Award was awarded to Vi Higgenson creator of Mama I Want to Sing.
