(Washington, DC)  —  President Obama will deliver remarks at today’s groundbreaking ceremony for the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture.  Among those joining the president will be Georgia Congressman John Lewis, former First Lady Laura Bush, and actress Phylicia Rashad.  The Smithsonian’s newest museum will be built next to the Washington Monument at 14th Street and Constitution Avenue, Northwest.  Scheduled to open in 2015, it will be the only national museum devoted to the documentation of American American life, art, history and culture.
