NBC’s singing competition “The Voice” welcomed two Christian artists this week, one of which was the gospel phenomenon Kirk Franklin.

The award-winning Franklin was there supporting one of his closest friends and a fellow Christian artist.

Anthony Evans, son of megachurch pastor, Tony Evans, impressed judges Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green with his vocal skills.

Evans, who has released the six major studio albums,Even MoreLetting GoThe BridgeWhat ChristmasMeansUndisguised, and his 2011 release Home, viewed the audition as an adventure.

Stepping outside of his usual whereabouts, the highly sought after worship leader who first stepped on the scene in 2001 as a member of Franklin’s singing ensemble before becoming a solo artist, graced “The Voice” with Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On.”
