Here’s a sign that an ongoing federal investigation may be getting to D.C. Council Chairman Kwame “Fully Loaded” Brown, despite what he  what he told the post recently. WTOP reporter Mark Segraves says Brown pushed him against a wall in the Wilson Building this morning when Segraves was trying to ask him a question as Brown walked into the D.C. Council chambers. Segraves says the shove wasn’t hard, but agreed with Examiner reporter Alan Blinder‘s assessment on twitter that it was “enough to send a message.” LL didn’t see the push but did see a bizarre non-verbal encounter between Brown and Segraves soon afterwards. Brown was standing in front of the council dais while a housing group was awarded a ceremonial resolution; Segraves was a few feet away, watching with other reporters. Brown started smiling at Segraves in what looked to LL to be a mocking or taunting way. Brown then winked at Segraves in a gesture that seemed to be in the same spirit as the smiles. Weird and kinda creepy, all in one wink. Brown’s been in a D.C. Council legislative session since LL arrived at the Wilson Building, and neither LL nor the other reporters waiting to ask him for comment about the incident have been able to yet. An email to his aides for comment wasn’t immediately returned. Here’s how it sounded, courtesy of WAMU reporter Patrick Madden: This isn’t the first time this year the council chairman has clashed with a WTOP personality named Mark: In January, he got into what was described later as a “screaming match”  with Mark Plotkin, a longtime political analyst for the station. That one may or may not have been Brown’s fault, though—a few weeks later, Plotkin was fired from WTOP, reportedly for swearing and yelling at a cleanup crew that worked there.
