“Bow Down” singer Beyonce has created yet another stir this week after she posted a photo to her Instagram account of herself posing in front of a painting resembling Leonardo DaVinci’s “The Last Supper,” and she’s completely blocking the picture of Jesus Christ. “The Last Supper,” which was completed in 1498, depicts the Messiah’s last meal with his disciples before his crucifixion. “Looks like the Last Supper, instead of Jesus its Beyoncé. Ummm epic fail boo,” one Instagram user commented. “Jesus Christ is my savior, not you. Besides that, I love Beyoncé, but you will never be God.” “Set the picture of the Last Supper behind her. I think she’s going a little too far and her head is getting a little too big,” another wrote. Others wrote “Praise Beyonce” and referred to the performer as “Beysus.”

The 32-year-old singer splashed headlines just Monday when NASA astronauts and their families criticized her for using audio clips from the 1986 Challenger tragedy for her love song, “XO.” She publicly apologized, but ultimately defended the song.

“My heart goes out to the families of those lost in the Challenger disaster,” Beyonce said in a statement. “The song ‘XO’ was recorded with the sincerest intention to help heal those who have lost loved ones and to remind us that unexpected things happen, so love and appreciate every minute that you have with those who mean the most to you. The songwriters included the audio in tribute to the unselfish works of the Challenger crew with hope that they will never be forgotten.”

Beyonce has yet to publicly comment on her Instagram photo.
