Two Spotsylvania County parents were arrested for child neglect after their young children were found on the rooftop of their home.
Police were called to a residence on Wakeman Drive in Spotsylvania County around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday for reports of a 2-year-old and 3-year-old on the rooftop of a townhouse. Officers entered the home and retrieved the children through an open window. Prosecutors say the parents, Micheall Gillikin, 26, and Nancy Gillikin, 27, were sleeping in another room. Their nine-month-old child was found unattended in a playpen. The children were removed from the home and placed in custody of Child Services.
