The multiple Grammy Award-winning power couple who share three children—Krista Nicole, Warryn Campbell III, and Zaya Monique—recently appeared on TBN’s “Praise the Lord.”
During their chat with host, Motown Gospel recording artist CeCe Winans, Mrs. Campbell shared the events leading up to meeting her Mr. Right. “When I met him, I had just come out of being somebody’s fiancé and it was the wrong thing. And my pastor was asking me ‘Why are you in such a rush? Trust God. Trust God. Wait on God,’” she recalled.
Apparently, he was worth the wait, and so was she.
Perhaps, that’s why the genius behind Mary Mary’s biggest hits waited months before planting his first kiss on the woman of his dreams–this according to the story he shared while completing interviews for TLC’s “A Wedding Story.”
In their featured episode, he told about how it was love at first sight when he saw the singing diva in a local production.
“In the middle of the play, out comes Erica on the stage and I’m watching her, and I see her, and she’s singing, and doing her thing, performing,” he said. “It’s just knocking me out. I’m like oh my God. My cousin was with me and I said, ‘I’m telling you this is my wife right here.’”
The guy knows how to spot a good thing when he sees it.
