Angie White is the Radio One 2013 Best Inspirational Singer in America contest winner. Angie is not a newcomer to the music industry. In fact, her musical roots can be traced back to her teenage years. Like most singers, she started singing in church. The South Philadelphia native went from her mother dragging her to Rock of Ages Church in Camden, NJ, to developing her own passionate relationship with God. Angie’s notoriety as a vocalist began to spread. Her professional career as background singing originated with Angie singing with the Temple University Gospel Choir, which allowed her to travel all over the country. While her high school peers were focusing on boys and prom, Angie was lending her melodic voice to the Delfonics, the pioneering soul group from Philadelphia.
