Lenhart is now facing a slew of charges including possession of an unregistered firearm and unregistered ammunition, according to The Washington Post.

Lenhart was part of a demonstration that was located on the north fence line of the White House, when Secret Service agents reportedly zeroed in on a 9 mm handgun that was secured in a holster attached to her hip.   The 23-year-old Mount Morris, Michigan woman was accompanied by a man, whom Secret Service officials have not yet identified.  The man was questioned and subsequently released, reports The Washington Post.

Lenhart’s handgun was spotted just as Obama was completing a televised address on his immigration plans.

According to Ed Donovan, a spokesperson for the Secret Service, when Lenhart was questioned, she was neither cooperative, nor forthcoming about her intentions, he told The Washington Post.

Meanwhile, Lenhart’s was the second such arrest in recent days.  R.J. “Renae” Kapheim, 41, of Davenport, Iowa, was arrested Wednesday near the White House with a rifle and 40 rounds of ammunition in the trunk of his car, according to charging documents.   Kapheim, whom according to investigators claimed that President Barack Obama had called him personally for an appointment, pleaded not guilty Thursday to illegally carrying a rifle.
