Who better to go to for advice than the Leader of the Free World?
President Obama is slowly facing the fact that his eldest daughterMalia Obama will be heading to college next year, but before she goes, he’s giving the 17-year-old great tips on navigating a new space.
While at a town hall on College Access and Affordability this past Monday, the Prez told Des Moines, Iowa students about those tips. He advised via PEOPLE:
“Be open to new experiences when you go to college,” he said. “Don’t go to college just to duplicate the same experience you had in high school. Don’t make your decision based on, well, where are all my friends going so that I can do the exact same things with the exact same friends that I did in high school.”
