After several years being nominated among the best major market stations, 2016 brought Praise 104.1 a Stellar Award win as Major Market Station of the Year. The Radio One station 
covers the Washington, DC market with 24-hour inspiration, music, and ministry. The station is home of national shows by such hosts as Yolanda Adams and Willie Moore, Jr., as well as an array of local veteran radio personalities.
The award was accepted by former Stellar Award Announcer of the Year and Midday Host, Cheryl Jackson, in the absence of Program Director, Ron Thompson. When asked about his station’s win, Mr. Thompson said, “This was a collective effort by some very talented and highly dedicated people. Of course, we also have the best listeners. Together, we were able to bring home this win. We are very grateful for this honor.”
