As we continue to mourn the death of legendary singer Prince, more details surrounding his final days are being released. According to Prince’s brother-in-law, the singer stayed awake for 154 hours straight prior to his passing. “I was with him just last weekend,” said Maurice Phillips, who is married to Prince’s sister Tyka Nelson. “He worked 154 hours straight. He was a good brother-in-law.” There are several rumors swirling around claims that he died from a drug overdose. Police officials have made it a top priority to figure out the singer’s cause of death. They don’t believe it was a suicide or trauma-related. “Prince’s medical history is at the top of detectives’ list when it comes to cause of his death,” said a police source. Dwayne “Pearl” Washington to be Laid to Rest

Loved ones and fans of former Brooklyn-bred Syracuse basketball star Dwayne “Pearl” Washington will gather to say their final goodbyes this week. Washington, who was one of the most adored basketball players in Syracuse’s history, lost his battle with brain cancer on Wednesday. His viewing will be held on April 28 at BK’s Cornerstone Baptist Church. Washington’s funeral will be held at the Christian Culture Center on April 29. “There was no better guy and there’s nobody who has meant more to our basketball program than Dwayne Washington,” said Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim. During his time at Syracuse, Washington helped lead the men’s basketball team to the 1986 NCAA tournament. Read more.


Nick Gordon To Talk To Dr. Phil About Bobbi Kristina

During a sit-down with Dr. Phil, Nick Gordon, boyfriend to the late Bobbi Kristina Brown, opened up about her death. On the show, Dr. Phil blatantly asked Gordon if he played any part in Bobbi Kristina’s death. According to reports, Brown died from a mix of drugs and drowning. Her body was allegedly found with bruises and scars. Gordon is currently facing a wrongful death lawsuit that claims he was involved in Bobbi Kristina’s passing. “Ms. Brown died due to a violent altercation with Defendant (Gordon) after which he placed her in a bathtub, unconscious, after he injected her with a toxic mixture,” reads the lawsuit. Virginia Gov. Restores Voting Rights for Over 200K Felons

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe has made a major move in regards to giving convicted felons the right to vote. On Friday, Gov. Terry announced that he would restore the voting rights of 200,000 convicted felons in Virginia. “I believe it is time to cast off Virginia’s troubled history of injustice and embrace a honest clean process of restoring the right of the these men and women. And so today, I will sign an order restoring the civil and voting rights of every single individual who has completed his or her sentence as of this day,” he said as he stood on the steps of the Capitol in Richmond. “I believe our commonwealth cannot achieve its full potential until all men and women act on this fundamental right and participate in the decisions about their own children’s education, about their taxes and every aspect of their lives. Unfortunately, Virginia has had a long and sad history of effectively suppressing the voices of many thousands of men and women at the ballot box.” Read more.
