Dr. Yashima discusses the important issue of Domestic Violence and the results of the priority bill with Maryland Delegate Angela Angel and domestic violence survivor and ex-wife of the “DC Sniper”, Mildred Muhammad. Muhammad is the author of the book, “Scared Silent”. In the book, she shares her personal story to show how domestic violence devastates entire families, including the children, and hopes that what she reveals will give new insight on this national social ill.
Delegate Angel currently represents the 25th District of Prince George’s County in the Maryland General Assembly. Elected in 2014, Angela serves on the Health Government and Operations Committee and is Vice Chair of the Bi-County Subcommittee of the Prince George’s County House Delegation.
On Saturday, July 9th from 10 am – 12 pm, join Delegate Angel along with our own VP of Corporate Communications, Dr. Yashima White-AziLove, Prince George’s County Council Chair – Derrick Leon Davis, and Prince George’s County Sheriff Melvin C. High, for “Domestic Violence at Our Doorstep” Community Forum. The event will take place at First Baptist Church of Glenarden’s Ministry Center – 3600 Brightseat Road, Landover, MD.
