Washington Football Hall of Famer Darrell Green criticized Robert Griffin III’s personal choices on a well-known Sports show Wednesday morning. A little more than 24 hours later, RG3 fired back. It all stemmed from Green expressing disappointment in the way Griffin is handling his divorce from college sweetheart Rebecca Liddicoat, with whom he shares an infant daughter. Specifically, Griffin has been professing his love for his new girlfriend on social media and even got her name tattooed on his arm. “I don’t appreciate his moral stance, what he’s doing with his wife, his kids,” Green said. “He’s jacked up, and that’s not good. I don’t appreciate that.”

“When you have responsibilities, young people looking at you, had this whole city in his hands — and when you do that, you’re responsible for more than yourself, and that’s selfish, and that’s childish.” Green also said that he would be “surprised” if Griffin turned his career around in Cleveland.

RG3’s response amounts to a polite say it to my face. What the Browns organization and it’s fans think about Griffin certainly matters more these days, but scrutiny will follow the quarterback for the foreseeable future.

What do you think…..Was Darrell Greenes Comments merited?
