On Friday, Sept. 23, an outside fire spread to New Bethlehem Baptist Church causing a larger electrical fire that destroyed their utility room and roof, and resulted in smoke damage throughout the building. They’ve temporarily relocated to MSBC Community Outreach Center in Woodlawn to continue on with worship service, but Dr. Lisa M. Weah (NBBC pastor) is hopeful that the church will be “restored even better.” Pastor Weah expects NBBC to be back up in nine months.
