UNIFYING LESSON PRINCIPLE:

People look for a place and time when life’s stresses will not exist. Is finding such a time and place even possible. John, the writer of the book of Revelation, suggested that God will create a new heaven and earth where life’s challenges and stresses will be banished forever.

CONCLUDING REFLECTION:

God has a plan and time when Satan’s reign of terror will end and the bliss of His eternal kingdom will unfold before our eyes. This world is imperfect, yet God has purposed a day when that which is known in part will become completely visible to us (see 1 Corinthians 2:9-14; 13:12; 2 Corinthians 5:7).

The book of Revelation points out that all of these earthly standards of accomplishment will be fleeting when it comes to the final judgment, and that there are some things that money cannot buy now or in the life to come.

PRAYER:

Lord God, may we never lose sight of your eternal glory and plan for creation. Let not the troubles of this life so overwhelm us that we become consumed by the cares of life. Forgive us for not trusting you as we should. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
