Joel Osteen preaches each week in a televised broadcast that reaches nearly 100 countries.

Osteen is one of the wealthiest pastors and continues to not pay attention to his critics that believe he preaches the ‘prosperity gospel.’

According to Christian Today, some view Osteen as a “controversial figure.”

They believe his sermons are about financial success and while some believe this is a blessing others don’t know what they can do to receive the blessing.

In an interview earlier this month he was asked about people that believed he was all about the money.

Osteen said, “First off, I don’t take a salary from my church or ministry. I’ve been blessed outside of that. But no doubt what you’re saying is true. But I think you have to overcome it by being who you are, by living a life of integrity and helping other people.”

Osteen lives in a $10 million mansion and earns money from his book royalties.

The “Every Day A Friday” author continues to argue that he uses the money he earns to continue to do God’s work.
