Last week, stalking charges against Pastor Jamal Bryant were dropped after months of mounting public scrutiny. A woman claimed Pastor Bryant wire-tapped her phone and was stalking her online. Pastor Bryant details the crazy spiral his life has been on since Baltimore police approached him about the charges 6 months ago. He talks the feeling of reading the report, and being absolutely stunned by all of the allegations against him included in it. He opens up about the difficulty of losing members of his church,  and not being able to refute allegations because of the gag order on him during the legal process. He laughs about having to “really find solace in ‘if you hold your peace, let the Lord fight your battles.’”

He talks about the first court date he had months ago and what happened this past week when they returned to court, which made the judge have to dismiss the case. He talks about the lesson he took away from all of this, about the church and the black community’s negligence of mental health.  Click on the audio player to hear more in this exclusive interview from “Get Up!
