Pastor Marvin Sapp wants to ask a question. Why is it that as soon as a white mass shooter commits their horrific crime, they are automatically viewed as mentally ill. It doesn’t seem like that same understanding of the motives that drive a mass shooter is as quick to be determined when the shooter is non-white, does it?
Sapp posted on his social media recently about Devin Kelley, the now deceased man behind the mass shooting of 28 congregants of a small Texas church in Sutherland Springs.
Other pastors have expressed their condolences about the horrific tragedy.
“We are one body of Christ whether in Texas, California or around the world. When you’re hurting we all are hurting,” Haddon wrote. “This should weigh heavy on pastors around the globe. We must also began to get serious about protecting the house of God.
“Texas Governor Greg Abbott acknowledged how devastating it was to have the tragedy occur in a church.”The tragedy of course is worsened by the fact that it happened in a church.”
