The 3rd DMV Musicians and Singers Fellowship will take place on Monday, January 22, 2018 at All Saints Conference and Banquet Center in Hyattsville, MD. This event is geared towards recording artists, singers, and musicians in the DC, Maryland and Virginia area to come together to network, educate and celebrate one another.
It was created by Stellar award winning recording artist, songwriter and musician, Phillip Carter, producer, musician and chef, Jarvis Smith and producer, musician and songwriter PJ Morgan. They birthed this idea out of the need to honor musicians and singers in the DMV area who are still alive and to discuss issues that church musicians have to deal with, such as securing health care, gaining & maintaining financial stability, as well as the importance of having a good reputation. Jarvis also caters the event.
This is a ticketed event and has sold out every year! It was first held at Southern Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Temple Hills, MD where Jarvis Smith serves as Minister of Music but quickly outgrew that location. If you are a singer and/or musician in the DMV area, you should seriously consider attending this yearly event. It’s not only fun but it’s also educational and uplifting.
