God’s gifts are gifts of his grace. Undeserved, free, unmerited. God gives gifts because that’s his nature. He gives every one of his children at least one gift, and usually more than one.
Some sing, some rap, some write, some preach, some sew, some cook, some are athletic – this just to name only a few. Some are public, some are behind the scenes. Either way, God has blessed you with something that is unique and special to Him and unique and special to you. It’s up to all of us to figure out what that gift is and to use it for His glory and to touch someone else’s life so that they see the love of Jesus.
Undoubtedly one of the greatest ball players of this generation, a believer and a PK kid , Dwyane Wade is using his gift of basketball not just to make a living and to support his family, but it is evident by the story I shared in the last hour about one of the young Florida victims being buried in his jersey, that his influence is felt in our families as well. What an awesome salute to the young 17 year old and what an awesome salute to the impact that Wade has had to young people all over the world.
So, exercise your gift today. Someone is waiting on you.
James 1:17 – Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
