Yesterday on Meet The Press, Omarosa Maniqualt, former Apprentice contestant and exadvisor to President Donald Trump, revealed secret tapes of Cheif of Staff, John Kelly, releasing of her duties.  He met with her in the situation room of the White House.  Today, she releases more recording, this time of Donald Trump’s response to the firing.  Can she get into legal trouble for that?  Well, according to DC Law…. the answer is NO.

According to the Daily Beast report, the conversations took place in the White House. Washington, D.C. law is a “one-party consent” jurisdiction when it comes to recording conversations. That means that at least one person participating in a conversation must consent to the recording for it to be legal. Since Omarosa recorded her own conversations, that would be enough to put her in the clear.

While she is promoting her upcoming tell-all book, UNHINGED, the administration is wondering how many more recordings she will release.
