UNIFYING LESSON PRINCIPLE:

People often must face decisions that will change their lives forever. How can we make the most of the opportunities life gives us? Rebekah took initiative in answering the call to become the wife of Isaac and thus to play an important role in the unfolding of God’s promises.

CONCLUDING REFLECTION:

Entrusted with the responsibility of finding a bride for Isaac and trusting in the Lord’s covenantal faithfulness and steadfast love to prosper his way, Abraham’s servant faithfully and resolutely carried out his task under the providential guidance of the Lord, so that he acquired Rebekah to be Isaac’s wife. Rebekah responded positively to the divine initiative of God in her life, and it transformed her life forever.

PRAYER:

Dear God, help us to know when You are at work in our lives, and give us the strength and determination to respond positively to Your will and to Your way. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
