UNIFYING LESSON PRINCIPLE:

People are tempted in many ways to turn aside from what they know is right. How can we resist such temptations? Jesus resisted the devil’s temptations by quoting the Scriptures, thus demonstrating His single-minded obedience to God.

CONCLUDING REFLECTION:

The more Scripture we commit to memory, the more we will be able to draw from it in those unforeseen times of need. As we diligently study the WORD we will become increasingly skillful in accurately determining what is wrong and what is right. Temptation is real and can become a challenge in our decision-making process.

PRAYER:

God, our Father, thank you for your Word that gives us power in times of weakness. Help us commit ourselves to taking in your Word and allowing it to dwell in us richly. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
