Keith Carey has over 10 yrs experience as a marriage counselor. He is the Pastor of “Faith in Action Ministries Incorporated” and works as a peer counselor. Vania Carey has over 20 yrs experience in Human Services and works as an addictions counselor. 1. Take Self-Inventory by talking with someone trained in the medical field, like a therapist or counselor, who can help you investigate the negative feelings, work on them so that you can regulate your emotions.
  2. Train Your Assumptions. Always assume that your partner is doing the best they can.
  3. Practice Forgiveness. Colossians 3:13 says “Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you”. Forgive as many times as it takes!
  4. Include Christ in your Relationship! Ecclesiastes 4:12 says “…a threefold cord is not easily broken”. God is faithful to mend your marriage if you allow Him to work through prayer, fasting and faith.
