Keith Carey has over 10 yrs experience as a marriage counselor. He is the Pastor of “Faith in Action Ministries Incorporated” and works as a peer counselor. Vania Carey has over 20 yrs experience in Human Services and works as an addictions counselor. She holds a Master’s degree in Human Services Counseling and is currently working on her second Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
- Take Self-Inventory by talking with someone trained in the medical field, like a therapist or counselor, who can help you investigate the negative feelings, work on them so that you can regulate your emotions.
- Train Your Assumptions. Always assume that your partner is doing the best they can.
- Practice Forgiveness. Colossians 3:13 says “Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you”. Forgive as many times as it takes!
- Include Christ in your Relationship! Ecclesiastes 4:12 says “…a threefold cord is not easily broken”. God is faithful to mend your marriage if you allow Him to work through prayer, fasting and faith.
