Learn more about Brandon Camphor & One Way:

One of the most exciting young vocal bands on today’s musical landscape is Brandon Camphor & OneWay, a dynamic East Coast group that stylistically dances along the divide separating Christian pop and urban gospel music to create its own unique hybrid that’s earning it fans and followers from across the globe. Since 2015, the exhilarating ensemble has earned four Billboard Top 30 chart rankings with the inspiring songs “I Choose You”, “His Name”, “You Are God” and the worship anthem, “God of Mercy”. They expect to revisit the chart this year with the roll-out of their GoGo Gospel groove, “Forever.”

OneWay’s debut CD Regeneration hit in the fall of 2009. With shades of rock and funk, the inspiring songs of faith and worship included fan favorites “It’s Possible (Gotta Have Faith)” and “Bless the Lord” which was later recorded by Myron Butler. The closing song “One Way” explained the group’s name and mission.

“One way to live the life,” they sing. “Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah! I’m gonna live for Christ. He’s the way, the truth, the life.” They continued to make inroads by performing at Christian festivals and by winning The Most Powerful Voices Competition presented by The Gospel Music Channel in 2011. This led to the group signing their first major recording contract with Music World Gospel. They sang on the nationally televised Power Awards and were featured on the Most Powerful Voices Compilation Vol. 1 album that boasted Kim Burrell and Trin-i- tee 5:7, among others.

In 2012, Camphor created the Jesus Rock: Live It Loud college tour that found OneWay touring with Tye Tribbett, Kierra Sheard and Jor’Dan

Armstrong. Meanwhile, a move to New York City found Camphor joining the Brooklyn Tabernacle Church where he has since become a soloist on the legendary 6x Grammy Award winning church choir’s CD’s “Love Lead The Way” and “Pray.” Most recently he was featured on the hit song “Psalm 34,” a soul stirring track led by himself and Durrell Comedy which has earned over 59 million YouTube views and counting. It hails from the choir’s 30th album, I Am Reminded (Brooklyn Tabernacle Music/Provident Distribution), which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Gospel Album sales chart in 2018.

The recent holiday season brought much joy and recognition for OneWay as they were honored to be a part of the Stellar Awards’s Tribute to the Holidays special. The group shared with the world “Christmas Joy” and “Happy Birthday Jesus”. Both songs are included on the holiday EP, “Christmas Joy”, an album that is guaranteed to become a seasonal staple for years to come. This followed by the group’s soulful rendition of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” displaying perfectly mixed harmonies in time to help us celebrate the rich tradition and contributions of African Americans in our nation.

In 2022, the group won three WAMMIE Awards (the Washington, D.C. area’s GRAMMY® Awards equivalent) in the categories of Best Acapella Group, Best Inspirational Group, and Best Inspirational song for their brilliant rendition of, “Lift Every Voice and Sing”. As 2023 is now underway, the group will release a self-titled EP this year that will feature their new GoGo Gospel track, “Forever.” The group is expanding the boundaries of gospel music while also demonstrating that OneWay is on to a new way to introduce faith music and principles to the next generation of listeners.
