A Montgomery County Circuit Court judge has denied Lee Boyd Malvo’s request to vacate his 2002 plea agreement, in which he pleaded guilty to six murders in Maryland. Malvo, one of the D.C. snipers, was 17 when he and John Allen Muhammad killed 10 people in the Washington, D.C. area in 2002.

Malvo is serving multiple life sentences without parole. Despite a 2022 ruling that he must be resentenced due to changes in juvenile sentencing laws, Malvo is unlikely to be released, as he is also serving life sentences for murders in Virginia.
