Inspirational Lifestyles: Be Still and Know – Always Right (Feb. 17th)

ALWAYS RIGHT
We must be careful not to judge others quickly based on our limited perception. We mustn’t assume things about people based on what we’ve heard or what little we’ve observed. The reality is that we truly can’t know the full story of those around us. We have no understanding of the losses they’ve endured or the hardships they’ve faced. We can never fully know the state of another human heart.
Treating one another with kindness is so important because kindness is always fair. Kindness is appropriate for any person in any circumstance. When we are quick to judge, we are sure to miss the whole picture and act wrongly. But when we are quick in kindness, we will always be acting rightly.
Scripture:
Ephesians 4:32
Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
Prayer:
Fill my heart with kindness toward others, Lord. Remove the desire to judge others. Soften my heart and humble me so that I will not be a harsh critic of those whose stories I haven’t read. Let me be slow to assumption and quick to love.
