I want to share a special post Father’s Day greeting to all the fathers that was a Newsweek article on June 6, 2020 by Josh Labs about a recent study by the CDC that stated that African Americans are some of the most committed fathers in the world, whether they are in the home or not. It goes against all the media images that we’ve all seen and tell your dad, beat dads and such, but I agree with it because my life experience has shown me that the negative images are the exception to the rule and not the rule. As I think back over my life, the majority of my friends had dads who worked multiple jobs to support their families. I know that TV images say otherwise, but my personal experience says we must celebrate dads and push to change the negative images of the few and show more of the positive images of the many. Hey, God bless all the fathers who are doing such great work.
