Listen Live

I came across this article, and I just had to share it. It’s about a major partnership between two heavyweights in the music industry: AJ RAMOS and Reach Records, the label founded by four-time Grammy-winning artist Lecrae. This isn’t just about making music; they’re launching a project called “Kingdom & Culture” that’s meant to bridge the gap between Christian and mainstream content in a new way.

The first single from the project is “Segunda Vida,” which came out on August 8. It’s a global collaboration, featuring platinum Latin Grammy-winning producers The Rudeboyz and artists like Limoblaze and Alexxander. This single is the first taste of a full project that’s on the way.

AJ has been in the game for years, but he felt a calling he couldn’t ignore to use his platform for something bigger. His goal is to create music that showcases Latin culture and storytelling in both English and Spanish, all while keeping a faith-centered approach. As AJ says, “We’re not here to make music that fits in a box.”

AJ has a lot of experience—over a decade in tech and production—and he’s been working to support Christian artists and labels. For this new record, he’s guiding the vision and bringing together artists from different backgrounds and genres in fresh collaborations.

This project is a perfect fit for Reach Records, which is known for creativity, excellence, and pushing boundaries. Dee Diaz, SVP of Marketing for Reach Records, spoke on their long-standing relationship with AJ: “The relationship between Reach and AJ goes back nearly ten years. He believed in our artists, the music, and the mission—creating within communities at the intersections of culture. For our first-ever Latin compilation in 2020, we reached out to AJ, and he moderated a conversation with Lecrae and Funky, as well as appeared on a documentary about Latinos and Christian hip-hop culture. Watching him dream up collaborations, pour into our artists, and lead this project has been inspiring, and we’re excited for the world to hear what we’ve been working on!”

Lecrae also shared his support, saying: “We love everything that AJ does and what he stands for. He’s been a huge supporter of Christian Hip-Hop and Christian music alongside all the light he brings to Latin music. We’re excited for this partnership and what it will mean to the community of artists and the listeners who will experience this music.”

The album is going to cover the full range of human experience, from joy to pain, loss, and renewal. It’s meant to be something that makes listeners feel seen. AJ put it best himself: “It’s for those who may feel distant from God or unworthy of His love. The truth is: God doesn’t call us by our sin; He calls us by our name. In Christ, we are made new. He qualifies the unqualified, and through Him, we find true identity and redemption.”
