About Ronnette Rollins

Ronnette Rollins is a singer/songwriter, pianist, radio personality and Realtor. She is one of the most sought-after performers, hosts and vocal coaches in the DC, Maryland and Virginia area. Fueled by her love for God and her passion to teach music and perform, Ronnette’s mission is to always reflect the love of God in everything she does, whether she’s singing gospel or R&B, playing classical piano pieces or hosting an event.

Ronnette’s career in music started at an early age. At the age of 8, she was playing piano, organ and directing choirs for various churches in the D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia areas. By age 11, she started performing as a singer and pianist with her Godmother, Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductee, Shirley Ables & The Joy Gospel Singers. She has recorded & performed background vocals with numerous gospel and inspirational artists including Pastor Shirley Caesar, Yolanda Adams, Isaiah D. Thomas & Elements of Praise and Mike McCoy & Voices United. As a result of her early success, Ronnette stepped out as a solo recording artist in 2012.

Ronnette received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education from Towson University and taught music in the Prince George’s County Public School system, including the choral & piano departments at Benjamin D. Foulois Creative & Performing Arts Academy in Morningside, Maryland. Ronnette is also a radio host & show producer with Radio One. You can hear her hosting weekdays in the midday on Praise 106.1FM then on the weekends on Praise 104.1FM, Saturdays from 3pm-7pm and “Sunday Joy” from 12pm-6pm. She’s syndicated on the Inspirational Network Saturdays from 10am-5pm in Houston, Atlanta and Columbus, Ohio. The songstress has successfully headlined sold-out performances at the historic Blues Alley in Washington, D.C., and at the Gospel en Karukera Festival in the Guadeloupe Islands. Ronnette has traveled the world touring and performing with various Gospel greats. She has made guest appearances performing on several television network shows, including “Rejoice in the Word” and “Great Day Washington” on WUSA9.

Ronnette made her theater debut with Mosaic Theater Company DC as pianist in “Marie and Rosetta” at Washington D.C.’s Atlas Theater in the Fall of 2018. Ronnette is also a member of the Grammy Award Recording Academy, Washington, D.C. Chapter, the premier outlet for honoring achievements in the recording arts and supporting the music community. Her debut project “JOURNEY” and follow up singles, “ALWAYS THERE” and “HE’S GOT THE POWER are available for digital download on all major music sites (Tidal, Apple Music, Google Play, Spotify, Amazon, etc).

Ronnette, who is no stranger to struggles with anxiety and depression, is an advocate for mental health and believes in therapy & counseling. She’s often heard saying “I believe in Jesus and Therapy.” She lives by Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.”
