Marion Christopher Barry, son of the late Mayor Marion S. Barry, Jr. and the late Effi Slaughter Barry, transitioned early Sunday morning, August 14, 2016.
Mrs. Polly Lee Harris announced Mr. Barry’s funeral plans, which are as follows:
On Sunday, August 21, 2016, there will be a private memorial service for family and close friends.
On Monday, August 22, 2016, Christopher will ‘Lie in Repose’ from 10AM to 6PM, at The Temple of Praise. The funeral service will begin at 6:00PM, at The Temple of Praise, located 700 Southern Avenue, S.E., Washington, D.C., 20032.
