Documents obtained by ThinkProgress revealed Daniel Pantaleo incurred seven disciplinary complaints and 14 individual allegations against him prior to Garner's death.

A New York appeals court panel questioned lawyers for officer Daniel Pantaleo pertaining to releasing the cop's disciplinary records more than a year after the fatal chokehold death of Eric Garner. A lower court has ordered the release of the records, but lawyers for Mayor Bill de Blasio have appealed the decision.
