The U.S. Supreme Court ruled for the first time Monday that indications of racial bias among jurors during a trial may result in a verdict being thrown out and a new trial.

In a 5-3 vote, the justices struck down an anti-abortion law that was responsible for shutting down dozens of clinics across the state of Texas.

Perhaps it’s time for a Black female nominee since one has yet to serve on the Supreme Court in its 227-year history.
