2 Chronicles 20:15

He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the LORDsays to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.

Gas prices are steadily going up, gas and electric has climbed to a high of 75%. Senior citizens are having to decide whether to buy the medications that they need to stay alive or keep their lights and heat on. How in the world can an honest working man or woman survive these insurmountable odds? I was taught that Jesus will take care of me and supply all of my needs. Why am I going through such difficulties? I come to church every Sunday, I come to bible study and Sunday school, and I pay my tithes and offerings and I’m still struggling. That is the statement many of us make. Right?

One thing about God, when our memories begin to fail us about His goodness, he has a way of bring back those memories of how we got over when it seemed impossible.  When we look back at those times, we begin to lean on our faith. We have to remember who the battle really belongs to.

Hoping these scriptures inspire you.

Exodus 14:13 Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again.

Deuteronomy 20:1 When you go to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots and an army greater than yours, do not be afraid of them, because the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt, will be with you.

1 Samuel 17:47 All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the battle is the LORD’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.”

2 Chronicles 20:16 Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel.

2 Chronicles 32:7 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him.

2 Chronicles 32:8 With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people gained confidence from what Hezekiah the king of Judah said.

Ecclesiastes 9:11 I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.
