Washington, DC—Darrell Green Youth Life Foundation (DGYLF) has partnered with the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner to host a toy drive to benefit the children attending next month’s 23rd Annual Christmas with the Washington Football Team (CWR) party for over 150 children from underserved communities throughout DC and Virginia.
From now until Monday, December 10, 2012, anyone bringing an unopened toy to the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner located at 7920 Jones Branch Drive, McLean, Virginia 22102 will receive a complimentary Wood Fired Flat Bread of their choice from the hotel’s härth Restaurant.
Redskin players and staff as well as individuals from the community will attend the event and sponsor a child by purchasing clothing items to present to them the night of the party. At the party, the children will enjoy dinner, entertainment and games; then end the night in the toy room where they are welcome to select any toys they want.
“This is our 23rd year and every year gets better and better. The Hilton McLean has always been an important supporter of CWR by providing a venue, staff and food. Their help with the toys is huge because that is a large expense for us. We hope people will come out to the Hilton, donate a toy, and enjoy a pizza on the house,” said Darrell Green, founder of the Youth Life Foundation and host of the annual party.
“Darrell has always been a well respected member of our community and it is a great honor as a Washington Football Team fan and a member of this community to be a part of such a magical evening for these children,” said Hilton General Manager Brian Kelleher.
The Christmas with the Washington Football Team party will take place in December at the Hilton McLean. Other supporters of the annual Christmas with the Washington Football Team party include the Washington Washington Football Team, First Priority Trailways, Primus Communications, State Farm, and Jack Hartzman Photography and Video.
