The sports-broadcasting world hasn’t been the same since Stuart Scott died earlier this year. In 2007, Scott was diagnosed with cancer, and he died Jan. 4. Scott is now being honored by his alma mater, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
On Oct. 23, Scott will be inducted into the N.C. Journalism Hall of Fame, based in the UNC School of Media and Journalism. Scott graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1987 with a degree in radio, television and motion pictures.
Scott’s career spanned 21 years, and he left an indelible mark on ESPN and his fans.
