Christian actress Angela Bassett is giving God praise for her latest recognition.

The FX “American Horror Story: Hotel” star has earned an NAACP award nomination for “Outstanding Actress in a Television Movie, Mini-Series or Dramatic Special.”

“Today is a blessed day!” tweeted the 57-year-old Golden Globe Award winner. “Just found out I was nominated,” she shared with her more than 250,000 Twitter followers, adding, “God is Good!”

The 47th NAACP Image Awards were announced today during a press conference from The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, CA.

“American Horror Story” is a Ryan Murphy-created anthology series and this is Bassett’s third turn.

She first starred as Desiree Dupree in the fourth installment, “Freak Show,” as Marie Laveau in the third installment “Coven,” and then joined the fifth round, “Hotel,” as Ramona Royale.
